Startet på nyt, kæmpe "sommerfuglebillede", bliver ca. 1,5 *1,5 m.
(Started on a new, big "butterfly-Picture")

..og så et billede af det nye familiemedlem, 1.5 år gammel Lhasa Apso ved navn Yes, skøn hund som kommer godt ud af det med alle de andre dyr.
(..Our new famillymember, 1.5 year old Lhasa apso, getting along with all the other animals!)

Just look at how lucky i have been. Got my fingers in a bunch of weaving stuff. About 20 different looms, 2 spinning wheels and a lot of other fantastic weaving and spinning accessories including old books, weaving, knitting and crochet samples - and a lot of things i don`t even know what is!!! Been spending the last couples of days wondering where to put it all.

Finished the piece woven with plant dyed yarn - thinking of making pillows of it.

Started weaving with plant dyed yarn. Purple yarn dyed with logwood. Red/orange yarn dyed with madder root in different concentrations. Yellow yarn dyed with cytisus scoparius (in Danish gyvel).
The blue/light purple weft dyed with logwood.

 

 

 

Tie-dyed yarn . At the right, first dyed with madder root, the left first dyed with bark from appletree. Both over-dyed with logwood.

 

 

 

Cut of finished dishclothes, now waiting for my personal seamstress (my mother) to be available.

Yarn on the left dyed with seeds from rhus typhina ( in Danish hjortetakstræ). Yarn in the middle dyed with bark from appletree.
